Muay Thai Kickboxing Toughens Up Sports And Leisure Destination Complex In Phuket, Thailand
Muay Thai Kickboxing Fortifies Sports and Leisure Destination Facility in Thailand
The battle to be established as Asia’s top international sports destination just became more difficult as Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC) has chosen former Muay Thai champion “Thanootong’’ Prasert Intanoo to lead the martial arts programme at the impressive Phuket, Thailand sports centre. Just as muay thai boxing requires dedication and ability, the assignment is another example of the PIASLC recruiting top professionals to work at the emerging high-quality facility and help position it as the first choice sports and leisure destination in Asia.
Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC) provides diverse extensive sports, wellness and recreational facilities in operation with more being constructed and planned to be finished over the next year.
The PIASLCincludes almost a dozen specialized sports academies. The new appointmentof Prasert Intanoo will bring the Martial Arts Academy to the forefront. The PIA Aquatics Academy and the Football Academy have already established themselves as premier programmes. BSS uses Futebol de Salao (FDS). The training and game is characterized as a 5-a-side version of soccer originally from Brazil. Futebol de Salao is played with a smaller (size 2), and slightly heavier (465gm) ball that has very little bounce to it. Now Muay Thai joins the top-rated youth soccer training programme available at the greatest sports and recreation facility in Southeast Asia.
Former Thailand national flyweight champ Khun Prasert was a Muay Thai professional boxer for 15 years with an distinguished 70 wins to his name. He graduated from university with a degree in physical education. He went on to work for the Marriott hospitality group as a Muay Thai teacher, and in his role as Recreation Supervisor managed wellness, corporate teambuilding and kid’s zone activities. Khun “Nok” (his Thai nickname) is also a qualified Pilates teacher and personal trainer and certified by the Thai Yoga Institute as an instructor.
The PIASLC is a component of the Phuket International Academy (PIA).
